The right minimal shoes for myself
By Chas
I would consider myself an intermediate experienced runner. I have ran a couple marathons and one 50k in my year and a half of running as a hobby. I intermediate regarding 30-35 miles a week currently. I have size 13 feet with big toes, and need a shoe with a wide toe-box. About 9 months ago I started purchasing and testing respective “minimal” shoes as I started to move from a heel/mid-foot-strike style of running to a forefoot-strike style of running. The second pair I purchased were a pair of Faas 250′s, and I actually liked them. I put with regards to 250 miles on my introductory pair before moving to a pair of Nike Lunarracer shoes that ended up not having a long sufficient toe-box. I likewise tried the NB Minimus road, Nike Free 3.0, Nike Free-run+ but I ultimately settled on the Faas 250 because I could run the longest in them with the least discomfort. They have an 8mm forefoot-to-heel rise with a very little amount of arch support which is nice when you get into long distances and your feet begin to become fatigued and your stride gets sloppy, but it’s not sufficient that it gets in the way of landing fore-foot first. They shoe is very light weight, and I have had no difficultnesses with tearing of the light-weight upper material. The only thing I don’t like with regards to the shoe is the shoe laces that come with the shoe are heavy and come untied easy, I always modify them out with a better set of laces when I get a new pair. The sole does wear out quickly, and I get regarding 250-300 miles out of mine before I commence to observe a bit of joint discomfort, which is when I buy a new pair.
I love these shoes, and until they altogether discontinue them I will carry on to run in them as they are cheap, very lightweight, and work utterly for my foot and running style. Everyone is different, these shoes may not work for numerous but they work outstanding for me.

Puma Shoe
By Jeremy D Drenning
By far, the best running shoe I have ever wore. I am a big guy, 5′ 8″; 215 former powerlifter that swopped to crossfit and each shoe I wore, my feet injure like crazy the next day. Totally solved with this shoe! I would recomend for somebody looking for a light shoe that is comfortable! i can’t gaurantee it will last a long time, but for the price that isnt a big deal.

Faaaaas
By aydc
Pros:
-fastest sentiment shoe I’ve ever worn
-very lightweight, no heel weight
-more cushioned than expected, rather comfortable
-good road surface feel
-good minimal transition shoe for midfoot striker
Cons:
-somewhat little toebox causes a good deal of wear on the mesh
-little lateral help with quick turns
The shoe was unquestionably a surprise as it is more cushioned than my NB’s with less heel rise.
Running feels effortless and fast with no turn over weight at the heel. The indispensable con is that I have worn a little hole at the little toe area more immediate than other shoes I’ve owned.
